Anne Hathaway Engaged

Anne Hathaway and fiance Adam SchulmanAnne Hathaway is engaged. The One Day actress' boyfriend of three years, Adam Shulman, recently popped the question with a Kwiat Heritage engagement ring, her rep confirmed to US Weekly.

The couple started dating in 2008 following Anne's split from Raffaello Follieri, after he pled guilty to 14 counts of money laundering, conspiracy and wire fraud, and Anne recently revealed Adam "ruined" her plan of staying single: "We hit if off immediately but it took us a pretty long time to get together. He thought that I had a boyfriend and I thought that he had a girlfriend, so I thought that I'd better keep my distance because I didn't want to be that girl. Mellow doesn't always make for a good story, but it makes for a good life. I am very much in love with him, [only] Adam totally ruined my plan. I was really actually looking forward to a little alone time, and then I fell in love like a fool!"

Anne - who had previously been against the idea of getting married - revealed she changed her mind about the institution after witnessing her best friend walk down the aisle:

Anne Hathaway: I’m Obnoxious

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Movies,

Anne HathawayAnne Hathaway thinks she is "so obnoxious." The One Day actress admits she has a bad habit of "interrupting everybody" and not letting people finish their sentences when she is having conversations with them.

"I'm so bad. I interrupt everybody. I'm so obnoxious. Pardon. I just get really excited when I talk-and especially when I talk to people who are fun to talk to-and I jump in at the end of every sentence and nobody ever gets to finish a thought."

Just as she is aware of her annoying habits, the 28-year-old star is also aware of her limitations as an actress. But the Dark Knight Rises star insists she would "crawl over broken glass" if she thought it would be good for a role.

"Elia Kazan [the late American director-and-actor] once said Vivien Leigh was not the best actress in the world, but she'd have crawled over broken glass if she thought it would help her performance. That's how I see myself as an actress. I may not be the best in the world, but I love my craft more than just about anything, and I will give everything I have to it, whatever the cost . I feel like such a jerk when I say 'my craft,' but I do feel that way."

Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Movies, Music, Child Stars, Rumors,

Anne Hathaway , who learned how to Get Smart with Steve Carell last year, will soon figure out how to Get Happy, too.

The statuesque star will play screen and stage legend on both the stage and screen, in the upcoming adaptation of the star’s 2001 biography Get Happy: The Life of Judy Garland. Hathaway is the first big name to be attached to the project, which is still in early stages. Though stage and movie rights have been purchased, no directors or writers have been tapped.

David Letterman Makes Anne Hathaway Squirm

Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Movies, Television, Break-ups, Videos,

And up until now, I thought Dave only liked to make Paris Hilton squirm.

Last night on the Late Show with David Letterman, the host got his chance to talk to Anne Hathaway - the former girlfriend of con man Raffaello Follieri. Although the actress was primarily on the show to promote her upcoming movie (Rachel Getting Married), she was forced to put on a brave face when the subject of her shady ex came up.

Given the host’s natural tendency to bring up uncomfortable topics, it’s fair to say Hathaway probably expected the line of questioning. That said, I still felt a bit sorry for the girl.

What’s Wrong With Young Hollywood?

Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Movies, Music, Child Stars, Editorials,

Miley Cyrus is showing off too much skin in pictures and making viral YouTube videos. Disney darling Vanessa Hudgens weathered scandal for sending pics to another young star. Lindsay Lohan fell so far from grace so fast we still can’t find her career, and let’s not even start talking about the deterioration of Britney Spears.

What’s wrong with young Hollywood?

Many of them appear on the scene as cute kids, all smiles and freckles and age-appropriate movie roles. But as the years pass and adolescence sets in, they’re suddenly seen in clubs, car crashes and mug shots - even before they can legally vote in some cases. When kids who aren’t famous get into trouble, it’s easy to say it’s the fault of the parents or that society puts too much pressure on them - maybe it’s some flaw in the educational system. When kids who are in the spotlight get into trouble, it’s media fodder.

And it’s almost guaranteed to make the spotlight shine on them just a little bit brighter.
